Fairoak Farm

Fairoak Farmhous lay just outside the parish boundary of Roath. The land is now occupied by Fairoak Court flats, on Lady Mary Road.

The farm was named after The Fair Oak (Y Dderwen deg), an ancient oak tree that stood beside the stream at the north east corner of Roath Pleasure Garden. The oak was thought to be over 500 years old when it was removed in 1935.
