The Botanic Garden, downstream from Roath Park Lake today comprises of the children’s playground, many trees some rare in nature, the rose garden and the conservatory.  In the past there has been a bandstand, refreshment rooms and chrysanthemum House and cacti house.  More on the history of the Botanic Garden can be found on the cardiffparks.org.uk website.
